Kakha Nadaraia, PhD, Cardiologist, Doctor of Medicine. Associate Professor, University of Georgia. <\/b><\/span><\/p>

He is currently the Director of the Healthcare Innovation and Implementation Research Platform, the Head of the Cardiology Residency Program at TSU University Clinic Vivamedi, the Head of Clinical and Interventional Cardiology and Therapy Department at TSU University Clinic Vivamedi, Executive Director of the Georgian International Society of Cardiomyopathies, Head of the Center for Cardiomyopathies and Heart Failure, Board Member of Georgian Society of Cardiologists, Atherosclerosis Association, Georgian Society of Internal Medicine, Member of the Expert Board of Hyperuricemia, Member of the European Society of Cardiology, European Society of Atherosclerosis, European Heart Failure Association.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0Dr. Nadaraia graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University in 1990, 1990-1991 fulfilled an internship in therapy, 1991-1993 – Clinical residency in Cardiology. In 2001 he passed the license exam in “Cardiology”. In 1993 he started working as a researcher at the Scientific-Research Institute of Clinical and Experimental Therapy, where in 1995-2000 years, he participated as a researcher in a research project – Prevalence of Cardiomyopathies in Tbilisi, based on the analysis of medical documentation of Tbilisi clinics, detecting the causes of hypo- and hyperdiagnosis of Cardiomyopathies. From 2001 he was the head of the clinical direction of the Department of Ischemic Heart Disease and Cardiomyopathies. Since 2009 he has been the head of Ischemic Heart Disease Department of the Academician Nodar Kipshidze National Centre of Therapy. Since 2011 he has worked as the head of the cardiology department in various clinics. <\/span><\/p>

Along with clinical work, he is actively involved in the implementation of various local or international scientific projects. In 2001-2006 years, he was a member of the CINDI Program Development Group of WHO Regional Office for Europe and participated in CINDI Program Development projects as a researcher and expert. In 2003-2005 he was a co-author and expert on 3 authorized courses in Continuing Medical Education, has been involved in international clinical trials since 2006. Received International Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certificates in International Studies (2009, 2018, 2020). Currently participates in 10 international multicenter clinical trials as Principal Investigator, Study Coordinator, and sub-investigator. <\/span><\/p>

In 2006 he was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences and Doctor of Medicine. The doctoral thesis concerned the long-term prognosis and treatment options for dilated Cardiomyopathy. In 2003-2008 years was an associate professor and head of the course at medical institute “Tbilisi”. Recently he is associate Professor at the University of Georgia since 2011. In 2007-2010 years, Dr. Nadaraia was a local Chief of Tbilisi State Medical University Residency Programs. Since 2017, he has been the Head of the Cardiology Residency Program at Tbilisi State Medical University at Vivamedi Clinic. He has participated in the work of TSU and DTSU dissertation councils. He is the co-chair of the TSU doctoral program. Dr. Nadaraia is currently a sub-investigator in the project of the Georgian Association for the Prevention and Rehabilitation of Cardiovascular Diseases: “Development of a standard algorithm of screening for heart failure.” He is a co-author of expert consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with hyperuricemia and high cardiovascular risks. He has published more than 50 scientific papers and publications in Georgian and foreign medical journals, including 5 monographs, textbooks and methodological recommendations, most of them were reported at international congresses and conferences. He has participated in more than 100 local and international congresses, conferences, roundtables and councils of experts, as a speaker and organizer.<\/span><\/p>

Klimiashvili Zurab, MD, Associate Professor at the Eastern European University (EEU)<\/b><\/p>

Mr. Klimiashvili currently is a Head of the Cardiac Department at Pineo Medical Ecosystem (since 2016), National Coordinator of the European Association of Cardiovascular Prevention (EAP) in Georgia (since 2014). In 2013-2019 years, he was a president of the Georgian Association of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (GACPR). He is a member of European Association of Cardiovascular Prevention (EAPC), member of the European Society of Cardiologists (ESC), member of the Board of the Georgian Society of Cardiologists (GSC). Mr. Klimiashvili graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University, Faculty of Medicine in 1994. He fulfilled clinical internship in Cardiology (1995-1997), was awarded the State license in Cardiology (2003). He worked as a physician cardiologist and head of the cardiology department at various clinics (1996 \u2013 2021). He was the local head of the postgraduate education program Cardiology Clinic “Heart \u2018\u2019 (2007-2010). He has been involved in international clinical trials since 2011, received International Clinical Practice (GCP) Certificate in International Studies (2011, 2013, 2019). Currently participates in 3 international multicenter clinical trials as Principal Investigator and sub-investigator in SAHARA , HEARR-FID, TUSK study. He was participated as a Principal Investigator and International Researcher in SIGNIFY, SUMMIT, QULIFY. Mr. Klimiashvili has participated in more than 60 local and international congresses, conferences, roundtables and councils of experts, as a speaker and organizer from 2000 to present. He has published over 20 publications in local and international medical journals.<\/p>

Tamar Shengelia, PhD student at Tbilisi State University, researcher, young scientist.<\/span><\/b><\/p>

Ms. Shengelia <\/span>graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University in 2017. In 2018-2022 <\/span>\u00a0years s<\/span>he is a resident of Cardiology at TSU University Clinic “Vivamedi”, since 2019 <\/span>s<\/span>he is a doctoral student at Ivane Javakhashvili Tbilisi State University<\/span>, h<\/span>as participated in the scientific study “The role of new biomarkers in determining the prognosis of heart failure” (<\/span>17.07.2019<\/span>), <\/span>she has <\/span>submitted several projects within Horizon Europe (PECC, CoVID-RACES, HELIPS)<\/span><\/p>

Ms. Shengelia p<\/span>articipates in clinical trials<\/span>, she <\/span>is the coordinator of the study <\/span>\u201c<\/span>Trans-Urethral Sympathectomy<\/span>\u201d<\/span> (TUSK<\/span>, sponsor \u2013 Verve medical)<\/span> (<\/span>16.04.2021<\/span>). <\/span>In t<\/span>his study (Medical Ecosystem at Pineo) <\/span>she <\/span>manages the <\/span>study <\/span>process, <\/span>patients\u2019 <\/span>screening and conducting post-procedure visits with patients.<\/span> She also coordinates and manage study process in the SAHARA study (Sponsor -Sequana Medical). She is one of the founders of the Healthcare Innovation and Implementation Research Platform.<\/span><\/p>

Since 2021 <\/span>s<\/span>he has been a resident doctor of the\u00a0 Cardio Intensive Care Unit <\/span>at Pineo <\/span>the Medical Ecosystem.<\/span><\/p>

I<\/span>n 2020-2021<\/span> years, <\/span>she was a<\/span>n <\/span>invited<\/span> lecturer at the European University (Department of Pathology)<\/span> and since 2019<\/span> s<\/span>he has been a<\/span>n invited <\/span>lecturer at the University of Georgia and the Tbilisi Medical Academy (Department of Clinical Skills).<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0Dr. Avaliani \u00a0graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University, Faculty of Medicine (In 2004) . In 2007 and 2015 she obtained a state certificate in the specialties of “Cardiology” and “Internal Medicine”. Doctoral Thesis: “Myeloperoxidase in Patients with Chronic Heart Failure: Relationship between Nutritional Status, Inflammation, Cardiac Remodeling Rates, and Disease Outcome.”<\/span><\/p>

During 2007-2011 years she was working as a cardiologist at in Acad. N. Kipshidze National Therapy Center. \u00a0In 2020,\u00a0 she was a \u00a0dr. cardiologist at the Medical Center “Junona”, Since 2013 she is dr.Cardilogist at\u00a0 \u00a0K. Eristavi National Surgery Center and since 01. 2022 she has been the Clinical Director of the Clinic “Remedical”.<\/span><\/p>

IN 2015-2018 years she was Invited lecturer in Cardiology at Tvildiani Medical University, then she has been elected as an Associate Professor at Tvildiani Medical University (2019). \u00a0Dr.Avaliani Is a member of the Academic Council at \u00a0<\/span>the same university. She has participated in the working process of dissertation thesis.\u00a0 She has published 9 scientific publications is the author of 1 textbook, has participated in many scientific conferences and trainings both <\/span>in Georgia and abroad, has won many awards. Talakvadze Tamar – <\/strong>Doctor of Medicine, Cardiologist, Professor at David Tvildiani Medical University (DTSU) since 2019 and Head of the course (Principles of Clinical Diagnosis and Principles of Clinical Evaluation) at the same university.<\/p>

Dr. Talakvadze . Graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University (1996), passed the certification in “Special Diseases” and “Cardiology” (2001 and 2005 year). From 2002-2011 she worked as a physician at the National Therapy Center. In 2006 she was awarded the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences. She worked as a physician cardiologist and internist at various clinics. In 2005-2009 she was the local head of the TSMU Residency Module “Internal Medicine”. From 2007 to 2013, she held the Director position of the Coordination Center of the World Health Organization at DTSU. In 2015-2018 years, she was the Deputy Director of the Regional Health Center (RJC) Ltd for Quality Control and Patient Safety. \u00a0Dr. Talakvadze is the author of various educational projects developed for the continuing professional development of RJC network physicians, nurses and rural physicians.<\/p>

In 2009-2020 years, she participated in 6 grant projects as a researcher and a project coordinator. SHe has participated in many conferences or trainings, both within Georgia and abroad. Dr. Talakvadze Is the author of 2 textbooks and 44 scientific publications, member of the Georgian Association of Medical Specialties. Member of DTSU Academic Council and Doctoral Committee, reviewer of 5 research projects atthe same university. She also participated in the working process of dissertation councils. Konstantine Liluashvili – Academic Doctor of Medicine, Assistant Professor of the General Therapy Department of TSMU . <\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0He is currently Head of Therapy Department at TSMU First University Clinic, providing clinical courses in internal medicine, cardiology and gastroenterology at TSMU.\u00a0 He has obtained state certificates of activity in the field of relevant medical practice in 1999, 2006, 2010 and 2019, has received his higher medical education at the Tbilisi State Medical University (formerly the Medical Faculty of the Tbilisi State Medical Institute), graduated in 1991. After passing the internship course, in 1993-2010 years, he was occupied in medical practical and scientific activities at the National Therapy Center of Cardiomyopathies and Cardiology, in the Department of Ischemic Diseases. In 2004-2010 years, he served as a senior researcher at the same center. In 2008-2021 years, he worked in the medical consulting service of the medical center “Vistamedi”. Dr. Liluashvili as\u00a0\u00a0 a personal doctor\u00a0 \u00a0was providing the cardiologic and internal medicine services at the JSC “Curacio\u201d (2011-2020 years) He carried out clinical practice in the positions of internal medicine specialist and cardiologist. Since 2017, he has been practicing medicine in the General Therapy Department at TSMU First University Clinic.<\/p>

Since 1996 he has been working in the field of research on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. In 2004 he completed his dissertation on “Clinical aspects of the detection and prognosis of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy”. He has been awarded the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences. Since 2006, he is equaled to the degree of Academic Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Liluashvili has published 11 papers on the topics of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in print journals. Participated in international multicenter clinical trials Merline – TIMI 10 since 2001, PLATO and more.<\/p>

In 2010-2011 years, he was a member Director General of the European Research Commission (EC), Directorate F – Evaluation panel 2.1.1-4 \/ 4, invited by the European Agency for Research and Evaluation (REA), expert evaluator FP7-Health-2011-Single- stage \u00a0\u00a0research projects in the field of internal Medicine, Cardiology; Research area: Metabolic disorders, genomics and systemic biology. In 2019-2021, he evaluated the project applications of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) program within the EU Horison 2020 and was an Independent Expert-Evaluator.<\/p>

\u00a0In 2000 \u2013 2011 \u00a0\u00a0years, he worked as a Medical Scientific Expert, Advisor and Consultant in the implementation of international development programs for health and medical care (WHO-EURO; AIHA; HLSP), of the National Program for Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (WHO-EURO CINDI). \u00a0<\/p>

\u00a0He worked as a consultant, to improve quality of medical service and to use science for strengthening general medical systems, in the following projects: the USAID Health Care (HCI) Project) and Applying Science to Strengthen and Improve Systems (ASSIST), University Research Co. Contractor for LLC (URC, Bethesda, USA) (2012-2015).<\/p>

\u00a0Since 2013, Dr. Liluashvili is member of the State Council for Non-Communicable Diseases Control Strategy and Action Plan, member of the Coordinating Council for Non-Communicable Diseases Control (since 2017) \u00a0\u00a0and member of the working group of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health- \u00a0“Development of BMJ Continuous Professional Development System (GDS), \u00a0National Platform in Georgia.<\/p>

  1. Liluashvili has been teaching in the system of higher medical education for 17 years. In 2004-2006 years, he was a lecturer, assistant professor at the Internal Medicine and Diagnostics Course at Tbilisi Medical University. In 2009-2016 years, he was an invited lecturer at the Department of Pharmacology and Department of Family Medicine (Tbilisi State Medical University). From 2017 to present, he is \u00a0\u00a0an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Therapy at TSMU.<\/li><\/ol>

    Dr. Liluashvili has published 45 scientific papers, including 13 in the last 10 years; 1 textbook and 3 monographs.<\/p>
